Autumn design challenge, blog hop!

Oh, it was not easy, Lesley and Caroline!

This was my batch and pink is such a difficult color for me ;-)

So, of course I took the pink ceramic bead first in my hands and this is the result. Glass beads and one
cloisonné-bead with it make an autumnal bracelet.

The first necklace has its' pinks, too! I took a walk/walks in my neighbourhood and realized that the nature is full of shades of muted pinks or rosa shades. By the way, the birds are slowly beginning to gather to move to south...

The bird pendant has a little color (I gave it a little Vintaj patina touch) because I had Lesley's pink link in this necklace first, but it was too heavy for my chain, it kept on turning over showing its' backside, so I changed two glass leave beads on its' place. And that's symmetric necklace, I haven't made symmetric pieces for ages!

As I started with Vintaj patina, I wanted to give a little color to Caroline's ceramic pendant, too, rusty brownish and olive green to match the beads I had chosen. And the second necklace has Caroline's ceramic green round beads, some of my favourite jasper beads, wooden touch too and the red coral beads give some brightness to the darker colors.

Those pieces were made all on Sunday and then I had to think and think. All Monday went and late in the evening (it was dark and cold) I took my bike and had a ride through my favourite path: near a little brook which has a small patch of wood on the other side, meadow and groups of bush here and there on the other side, some houses a little further. I just love the smells of this kind of cool autumn night! And that's the smell of hey and withering flowers and changing weather. It took me to childhood, we were always playing outdoors on cool evenings, for instance 'hide and seek' or '10 sticks on a plank'...

With this bracelet I have the same feeling of getting back to my childhood. It is playful, not hot not cold, but having some secret ingredience which almost subconciously makes me go back these decades.

There is of course Lesley's bronze link but equally important are the little house bead by Humblebeads and the bronze toggle by Saki silver. Those little glass flower beads give a nice tiny sound on the wrist, almost like you could see the 'once upon a time there was a flower fairy' :-D Yes, I am very childish!

Go hopping to see all the other participants of this awesome challenge! Thank you so much, Lesley and Caroline!
